Yamaha outboards are way way over priced junk I see so many Yamaha motors that have so many problems overheating, ignition no start problems. Yamaha does make good stereo systems and bikes but they failed so bad with outboards I have this same 4 HP motor oil leaks from lower crank seal clunks when shifting stalls when idling sputters sometimes never seen a outboard with so many problems Yamaha make a good name for themselves but people are brainwashed because Yamaha makes shitty outboards and people pay top dollar for junk. Yamaha is like a force outboard as far as quality goes just look and see how many Yamaha motors are in need of major repairs there all over

Tent camped Locust lake 20 years ago with my kids. Worst camping experience ever. Yellow-jackets were out in force. Rangers patrolled all weekend administering to bee stings. The weather that weekend kept the camp fire smoke hanging to the point I swear we suffered smoke inhalation. I believe some of my neighbors were actually living there, they had trailers but no vehicle to pull them with. I ended up feeding several kids from other camp sites and using up a lot of my first aid kit administering to their bee stings. The only time I've ever had an unpleasant experience at a state park.

I wanna go here during the day. I drove by a lot, but the only time my friends and I went to the cemetery was at night and it was beyond eerie. I was on crutches with a broken leg with my 2 friends and long story short, everybodies phone camera flash stopped working and we heard that swinging metal fence or a swingset in the area. They ran, obviously I couldnt. I got stuck in the dark, terrified. Crutched my way out lol. Your gunna hear some weird stuff in a cemetery at night, but as someone else said, the creepiest thing I encountered was the sound of someone following me as I left. It was very obvious. As a 23 year old man, I had terrifying nightmares that night when we got home. It's the one paranormal experience I've ever had.

We go to a lot of KOAs and have never been to any that you recommended - why - Holidays are more expensive than Journeys and we do not use the amenities of a Holiday. The two most important values in a campground are availability and quiet. You might add those to your review format. If you can't get a site or sleep at night, it's not a good park. Glad you’re feeling better and out camping! Fun time with the grandkids. Can you do a video on how you chose your tow vehicle. I’m looking to purchase an RV in the next year.

That's a good idea, I'll work it into the rotation. I did do a review of my Ram 1500 and my F150. Thanks for watching.

You enjoy your time here just be aware that the park is large and you will need to drive to some of the amenities. Thanks for watching.

Was there 2 years ago. The road in was really bad if you have to move over for a passing car. The road has broken drop offs which I hit. Bent my trailer rim which blew the air out of the tire. Don't know if the roads are any better. Park roads were not very good either. Bike riding was limited to the campground loops because of the hilly terrain. Site wasn't very good either. (A loop end site) I'll give it a 2 star rating. Hope your back is on the mend. Looks like you're walking good. Always fun with the kiddos.

The roads can be challenging in the park but the campgroundvroad seemed good. Thanks for watching.

Stupid question... Did you kayak in a circle and just end up back where you started from? I assumed there was some current here and you would either need to kayak against it to get back or get picked up at the end?

We exored the lake but kayaked back to our starting point. The current wasn't very strong. We were checking out the lake for fishing spots. Thanks for watching.

Great review! We stayed at Lake-in-Wood a three times years ago before it became a Sun property. I'm talking 1989, 1991 and 1996, when full hookup sites went for $17 to $28/night! We remember they used to have a double-decker bus and houseboat on the lake to rent in addition to the other places you mentioned. Most other things in the campground look pretty much the same as when we were there, just a lot more sites. Thanks for sharing!

We had a good time there. The only thing I didn't get to check out were the burgers at the restaurant which I heard were really good but it was closed when we were there. Thanks for watching.

Hi Scott, best wishes for a speedy recovery. If you do trade/sell your Harleys in why not take a look at the Can Am Spyders. Don't get me wrong I love the Harleys but we have a few of our members who have switched because of injury or age and they love them. Just a though, cheers and stay safe. Dave

Hi Dave, I have been looking at them. I have sold my switchback but still have the 1200 low. Once I have my next dr appt and get a bone density test I'll know what I can do and not do. Then I can make a decision. Thanks for the kind words.
